Chris Rankin-Williams

The Rev. Chris Rankin-Williams has been Rector of St. John’s since 2003.
His passions in ministry include preaching and fostering intergenerational community and parish leadership. Chris believes all people are called to minister in the world. He says, “the church’s role is to help people in discerning their ministry and carrying it out.”

Chris graduated from the Episcopal Divinity School in Cambridge, MA. and was ordained in 1996. He is a native of Utah.

Before joining St. John’s, he was an associate priest at All Saints-by-the-Sea in Santa Barbara, California. Chris is married with a son and daughter. He’s an avid cyclist and occasional surfer, a lover of good food and wine, and a Mac fan.
