STOCK DONATIONS
Donating stock potentially provides a significant benefit for you as well as St. John’s. Gifts of appreciated stock avoid capital gains taxes and allow for the full deduction while providing an immediate gift to your church. St. John’s brokerage account is able to accept stock donations at anytime. When transferring stock please email Lee Steward, Director of Stewardship, with details of the security being transferred and the donor as information about the initiating account does not come across with the donation.

PLANNED GIVING & ESTATE PLANNING
Planned giving is a wonderful way to solidify your enduring support for St. John’s Church. You can give a gift to the church that costs you nothing in your lifetime. Making gifts from your estate, through your will or a bequest, making gifts from your retirement accounts, or making gifts from life insurance are common ways donors do this. We have been blessed over the years to have received many generous gifts from those who chose to include us in their estate plans.
You can also make a gift to St. John’s and receive income that you cannot outlive. Charitable Remainder Trusts, Charitable Gift Annuities, and Pooled Income Funds are all easy to establish and provide wonderful gifts to the church while providing you with an income stream for life.
