Anne Lamott, Monday, February 13th at 7pm

Author Anne Lamott and her son, Sam, will read from their forthcoming book, "Some Assembly Required." A Question & Answer time with the author and a reception will follow the reading. All proceeds will benefit St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church and their Nursery School program. Anne Lamott is a member of St. Andrew's, located in Marin City. St. John's is partnering with Anne and St. Andrew's to help raise at least $3,600 to enable them to continue their Sunday Nursery School program. Anne Lamott is a well known Bay Area author who has written widely on the topic of faith. $20 suggested donation at the door.

 

Confirmation

High school youth in 10th grade and above are invited to begin the journey of Confirmation on February 12th. During this four-month faith formation program, each youth will be partnered with an adult mentor of their choosing to share weekly conversation and monthly group experiences. Confirmation an incredible opportunity for youth to journey with adults in exploring and deepening Christian faith together. To sign-up and learn more contact Katie at youth@stjohnsross.org.

Rotating Emergency Shelter Team (REST)

In concert with churches throughout Marin, St. John’s is providing and serving a meal for up to 40 homeless men on Thursday nights at the Quest church in southern Novato.  We need volunteers to help with cooking (mostly at St. John’s), serving, greeting and general support.  The program runs through mid-April.  If you would like to volunteer email rest@stjohnsross.org or sign up here [link to schedule page: http://www.stjohnsross.org/shelterschedule]
