Come and join us for a worship service. Feel the presence of God. We sing together. We pray together. And we listen together to spiritual lessons on Sunday mornings. We don't claim to have all the answers. But we seek wisdom and spiritual truth together and support each other in this spiritual journey.
We offer you a spiritual space to contemplate your relationship with God. Or pray for a loved one. Surrender a burden. Find a moment of peace.
Schedule for Weekly Services
Eucharist is offered at every service at St. John's.
Every Sunday:
8:00 a.m. - This service follows the Book of Common Prayer. It is a smaller, quieter service with no music and generally runs about 50 minutes. Healing ministry is available during this service on the Second Sunday of the month.
9:00 a.m. - We have just started a new service on Sundays from 9 - 9:45 a.m. called the Family Service. All are welcome, not just families. It's more informal and shorter than the other Sunday services. We meet in Hallett Hall rather than the church sanctuary for worship. Eucharist is held. Because this service is designed for children and adults to share together, there is no Sunday School during the 9 am service.
10:00 a.m. - This service is a "full" service with our choir and music. The service runs about one hour and fifteen minutes. Sunday School takes place during the 10 am service. Nursery care is available for our youngest parishioners. Sunday School children join the congregation for Communion regularly allowing us to celebrate this rite together as a single community.
Every Tuesday
Noon - This weekly service is celebrated in the Chapel and includes the Eucharist, laying on of hands and healing prayers. On the Second Tuesday of the month, this service is followed by a light luncheon and short program. In December, our choir master Jim Bisbing will lead us in singing Christmas carols during the luncheon.
Nursery Care
During the 10 a.m., Sunday services, we offer nursery care for children ages 4 and younger in our brand new wing. Our professional, hired caregivers and parent volunteers help provide a welcoming and loving environment for your children while you worship. And we have plenty of toys!
Sunday School
For children K-8 grades, we offer a rich and nurturing program on Sunday mornings at 10 a.m. High schoolers have their own program. [see Youth Groups]
