Nursery CareThe 10 a.m. Sunday morning nursery serves infants and children through age 4 . It's coordinated by parishioner volunteers, two paid childcare workers, and other parent volunteers. The nursery is stocked with a a variety of stimulating, safe toys and craft materials. Toddlers have play time and then come together for circle time to sing songs, say a prayer, and have a snack. The three- to four-year-olds in the nursery can join in a 30-minute Sunday school class taught by parent volunteers each week. The program has been designed around a simple routine that supports children's early exposure to a classroom setting and worship. We teach them how to come and sit in a circle, put their hands together to pray in a group, listen to a Bible story, talk about what they heard, sing a song, do a finger play or art response, and then share a snack. All this prepares them for the years ahead.
