Music Program

Music is an integral part of our worship services.  The 10 a.m. service on Sunday features our adult choir, accompanied by music director and organist Jim Bisbing. About once a month, Jim and the choir are joined by our resident trumpeter Bill Holmes.

We’re proud of St. John's organ.  It is one of the largest and most successful instruments of its type in Northern California. The organ is a "hybrid" instrument -- about one-third Aeolian-Skinner pipes and two-thirds Allen Renaissance digital.

Adult Choir

The choir is open to all adults and high school students who can sing on pitch and attend rehearsals regularly.  Anyone interested in singing with us can contact Jim Bisbing, music director and organist. 415-456-1102 x 111

St. John's adult choir rehearses on Thursday evenings, 7:30 to 9:30.  We warm up at 9:00 on Sunday mornings to prepare for the 10:00 service.

Children's Choir

The Children's Choir rehearses seasonally and is open to all children in grades 1 - 5.

St. John's Concert Series

St. John’s annually presents Music at St. John's, a Concert Series bringing outstanding talent to Marin County to perform in our beautiful sanctuary.  Louis Weiner, our Cantor, directs the series.
