Healing Ministry
The Healing Ministry, a powerful witness to God's love and compassion for all persons, is an effective way in which the Holy Spirit touches us for spiritual healing and wholeness.
Healing prayer and laying on of hands is offered in the Chapel during Communion every Sunday at the 10:00 am Service, and on the second and fourth Sundays of the month at the 8 am Service.
We invite anyone who is interested in this Ministry to contact The Rev. Jan West at 456-1102.
Prayers
To add your name or the name of someone else to the prayer list that is published in the Sunday church bulletin, please contact parish coordinator Arlene Henry at 456-1102.
You may also email prayer list additions and changes to info@stjohnsross.org.
Pastoral Care
We offer confidential, spiritual counseling whatever your needs might be, whether it be illness, strained relationships, family crisis, or the death of a loved one.
Pastoral care takes many forms at St. John's. Clergy make hospital and home visits and meet with parishioners for pastoral counseling. Some parishoners serve as Stephen Ministers providing companionship and listening, and bring communion to those who cannot attend church. We also have an active healing ministry which includes praying for those on our prayer list and praying with parishioners at our worship services.
Helping Hands
The Helping Hands Ministry at St. Johns connects those in need of practical help with fellow parishioners who can give them a hand. As in any family, we hold each other up in times of need with the little things that can make a big difference. Join St. John's caring community. To receive help and to give help, call Anna Frost for details. 415-459-5900.
Stephen Ministry
Stephen Ministry is a lay ministry program. Through a confidential one-on-one caring relationship with a Stephen Minister, someone experiencing challenging times can receive the love, care and support that they need.
